The 70th Annual Golden Globe Awards

The 70th Annual Golden Globe Awards were announced on Sunday at the ceremony held at Beverly Hilton Hotel. The show was hosted by Tina Fey and Amy Poehler. The expected domination by Lincoln was absent, rather, the HFPA gave Argo the much deserved nod, making the Oscar race more exciting. The best comedy/musical motion picture went to Les Miserables. The Best Director was bagged by Argo lead-cum-director, Ben Affleck, beating the likes of Bigelow, Spielberg, Ang Lee and Tarantino, who already have one (or many) in their accounts already.

CECIL B. DEMILLE LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT
Jodie Foster

Jodie Foster receiving the Cecil B. DeMille Award

The highlight of the show, was the presentation of the Cecil B. DeMille Award to Jodie Foster. The award was presented to her by none other than the ever flamboyant Robert Downey Jr., who introduced Jodie (and of course, himself) in his usual tongue-in-cheek methodology!
